History of the Women’s Suffrage Movement

The September meeting will feature Joanne Moore, League of Women Voters of Southeastern CT program chair as our speaker.  She’ll highlight the history of the Women’s Suffrage movement to celebrate the 19th Amendment, “giving” women the right to vote in 1920. The meeting will include a soup and salad meal with dessert at Langley’s, with appropriate social distancing. The choice of salads include

  • Cobb Salad days – Romaine, marinated grilled chicken, corn, chopped tomato, cucumber, black olives, gorgonzola cheese, hard-boiled egg, chopped bacon, and avocado slices
  • Polk salad anniepasto Romaine, genoa, capicola, proscuitto, kalamata olives, grapes, parmesan cheese, provolone, asiago, artichoke hearts, and cherry tomatoes drizzed with olive oil & balsamic vinegar
  • Blame it on Mexico Iceberg, chicken, avocado, corn, scallions, chick peas, tomatoes, olives, roasted red peppers, cheese blend, and tortilla chips Add Salsa and Sour Cream
